What's Expected on May 8th

**NOTE*** Lectures only take place on Mondays, while Workshops and WorkGroups are on Mondays and Wednesdays. There is no lecture on Wednesday.

Assignment 3: Your AVV is Due on the Monday following your holiday. Prepare to present your projects concepts and make appointments with Femke and I for feedback on your ideas and progress. Take more photos and or videos of your site. Research never stops on these types of projects. Get Obsessed with your site. You need your BACKGROUND RESEARCH and PROJECT CONCEPT. We are not yet expecting the content, that will be expected in the last week of class.
I want your research and concept materials printed and assembled into a presentation folder and submitted online in both yours and your partner's blogs.

We are expecting to see for your background research:
1. Survey Data
2. Videos or photography of your site at different times of day and several different days.
3. History of the place.

For your concept we want to see:
1. Storyboards, Illustrations, Photo Mock-ups or Animations of how your concept will impact the space.
2. 2-3 user scenarios for the space of your final project are required as well. Describe in words and in a story of the average visitors and how they would react to your concept, and how the improvements/changes/etc that you come up with effect them directly.

Things to think about/Keep in the back of your minds at this stage:
What was the original purpose/function of this space, and how can your idea enhance that?
How does the data affect our design decisions, and how does your idea change the space? How is your idea contributing to agora like behaviour, and how would you attract sponsors? How can your content be seamlessly integrated into a corporate sponsor's needs as well as the people's needs? Can you think of themes that encompass all sides? Can you make the screen a two-way communication device (with or without technology)? Can you extend it to the people’s personal screens? Is interactivity a vital enhancement to the project or unnecessary for this particular location? Imagine designing and proposing this project to the government or corporate sponsor as if it were to actually take place(because it might!).
